About our Club

The Sertoma Club of Nashville is one of several  Sertoma clubs in the Middle Tennessee and Northern Alabama District of the Southeastern/Caribbean Region of Sertoma International.

Headquarters of Sertoma International is located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Club History

Our first meeting was held on the mezzanine floor of the Noel Hotel. Much in Nashville has changed since 1946, but Sertoma’s mission and devotion to service has not. In 1946 176,000 people called Nashville home. Today the current population of the City itself is over 700,000 and the metropolitan area that had a scattering of tiny communities now has nearly 2,000,000 residents. It is safe to say this area is and will continue to “explode”. Since 1946, the community has become the World’s “Music City”, a Mecca for musicians and fans alike. Manufacturing and Distribution business activities have grown exponentially. Health care, Technology, and other industries that didn’t exist in 1946, fills our beautiful cityscape. Our Club's history is filled with successful fundraising efforts that have allowed the Club to make a real difference for those who needed us most. Over the years the club has built a meaningful endowment to continue the founder’s vision of providing “life changing” quality of life improvements for those in Middle Tennessee that deserve the help either in funding or volunteer manpower. The Sertoma Club of Nashville today is focused on improving life for others. However through the good we do for others, our members enjoy a significant avenue to feel good about “paying it forward”. If you are interested in the continuation of our legacy and mission, you are invited to become a part of it.
